The Italian Foreign Minister considers the killing of Gaddafi to have been a significant error.

The Italian Foreign Minister, Antonio Tajani, believes that the decision to remove Muammar Gaddafi from power in 2011 was a serious error.[RT]

He stated that Gaddafi's death led to years of chaos and conflict in Libya. While acknowledging that Gaddafi was not a proponent of democracy, Tajani argued that the situation worsened after his removal. He noted that Gaddafi's presence had helped maintain stability in the region.
